We are excited to announce that after years of planning, preparation and community meetings, the Silvergate Rancho Bernardo project was unanimously approved 9-0 by the San Diego City Council.
In a packed Council Chambers, among the crowd were 30 dedicated seniors showing their support for the project. These individuals have followed our project since the beginning and have placed Advanced Reservations at Silvergate. Their presence at the hearing made a big difference and we were grateful for their support. Following the hearing, attendees and AmeriCare representatives celebrated the victory at special private reception in downtown San Diego.
“We’re thrilled with the City Council’s decision today,” stated Matt Petree, Director of Property Development. “For more than 2 1/2 years, we have been working closely with the community and we believe we have developed a project that will be a wonderful addition to Rancho Bernardo. With the approvals in place, we can move forward toward our goal of breaking ground on construction by the end of the year.”
City Council’s approval is a major milestone for the project. The next phase of the project is to obtain the necessary building permits, and once those are in place construction can begin. Construction is still scheduled to begin by the end of this year and finish in 2018.
As always, we will continue to keep you in the loop with any project updates.
