October 13, 2014 - As we prepare to request an Initiation of the project, and per the City of San Diego's Initiation Criteria, below we have summarizeda list of key benefits that we believe Silvergate Rancho Bernardo will provide to the community.
Key Community Benefits
1. Addresses RB's substantial deficiency in senior living units with a beautiful new retirement community.
2. Provides specialized care for Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, a rapidly growing and underserved need for seniors in RB.
3. Creates approximately 100 new skilled, permanent healthcare jobs in RB, including management positions.
4. Results in new opportunities for RB small businesses who work directly with Silvergate to serve the needs of seniors.
5. Generates $700,000 in annual property taxes and $2 million in development fees to help fund RB infrastructure projects.
6. As a new member of CABH, the project will generate much needed funds to help address recreational or other needs.
