Silvergate is happy to report that the Food and Drug Administration’s vaccine advisory panel voted in favor today to recommend Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine to the agency. The vote in favor of the vaccine cleared the way for the F.D.A. to authorize the vaccine within days and for some health care workers and long term care (LTC) residents to begin receiving it as early as late December.
As part of California’s Phase I vaccine rollout plan, Omnicare – a CVS Health company and preferred pharmacy provider of the COVID-19 vaccines, also shared its plans earlier this week to deliver and administer the first round of vaccines to registered LTC providers, including Silvergate Retirement Residences, as soon as late December 2020 (see chart below). So that they can plan for the appropriate volume of vaccinations, Omnicare requires a list of all Silvergate residents and staff participating in the Phase I on-site clinics by late December.
Don’t miss the opportunity to be part of the Phase I vaccine distribution. With great uncertainty surrounding the timing and availability of vaccines for the general public, including seniors 65+, there’s never been a better time to become a new resident with Silvergate.
