OCTOBER 26, 2019 – Silvergate Rancho Bernardo, a luxury senior living community set to open in Spring 2020, joined the revelry at Webb City Park on Saturday afternoon, October 26, 2019 to support the Sunrise Rotary Club at its annual Rancho BEERnardo Festival. More than 1,000 people meandered along the winding park paths to taste more than 75 home and craft brews from throughout Southern California with all proceeds slated to support more than a dozen local Rotary charities.
Armed with a litany of information about the independent living, assisted living and memory care suites at Silvergate Rancho Bernardo, Marketing Director, Pam Rundle, fielded questions about the community amenities and services that will be provided to future residents of Silvergate.
“We’re glad to have partnered with the Sunrise Rotary Club to celebrate the local craft breweries here in this region” said Rundle. “In the midst of the music and beer tasting, many festival goers stopped by to learn about the accommodations, services and the facilities at Silvergate Rancho Bernardo. Seniors of all ages are starting to understand that choosing a senior living community like Silvergate is preferable to living at home because they will enjoy amenities like chef-crafted daily meals, chauffeured transportation, weekly housekeeping and linen service, 24-hour staff, onsite security and a 24-hour emergency response system.”
“Silvergate Rancho Bernardo’s sponsorship this year helps us fund programs like RYLA, the Rotary Youth Leadership Academy and the Ed Brown Senior Center right here in town,” said Brett Geernaert, President of the Rancho Bernardo Sunrise Chapter of Rotary International. “Silvergate’s dedication to the local community is admirable and we’re pleased they were able to be a part of the Rancho BEERnardo Festival.”
Over the last five years of development, Silvergate Rancho Bernardo has sponsored numerous local community organizations, including Spirit of the 4th, the Rancho Bernardo Foundation Thanksgiving Luncheon, the Bernardo Heights Community Association and many more.
These sponsorships, along with Silvergate’s philosophy of ongoing community involvement, are chief among the reasons the senior living community has been voted a San Diego “Favorite” for more than ten years running in the San Diego Union Tribune Readers Poll. Readers this year found Silvergate Retirement Residence & Memory Care communities in San Diego to be a “Favorite” in both the Retirement/Independent Living Community and the Assisted Living Community categories.
