June turned out to be a very productive month for the new Silvergate in Rancho Bernardo. As you can see from the bird’s-eye view of the property, we continue to make exciting progress across the board. All buildings are now in the process of being built, so the aerial photo provides a good overall layout of the community, including the private pool and central courtyard fountain!
For those interested in our Cottage homes, progress continues to be made and they are the furthest along in the construction schedule. Besides finishing the tile roofing in June, they also began to receive their exterior colors, decorative exterior columns, and some even have their kitchen and bathroom cabinets currently being installed.
Framing of the Pool House, which is surrounded by the Cottages, was also completed in June. It began to receive its beautiful mosaic roof tile and now tracks only slightly behind the cottages with regard to finishes. As mentioned, the nearby pool and spa have now been excavated and are beginning to take shape.
In our two large apartment home buildings, the roofs have been completed recently and the aerial photo clearly illustrates the scale of the future rooftop solar panel arrays that will be located on the flat (or white) portion of those roofs. Underneath the roofs, steady progress continues on our apartment homes with mechanical, plumbing, and electrical rough-in work nearly complete.
The Clubhouse also made incredible progress in June as it began to receive its interior walls and impressive roof structure. After years of anticipation, we’re finally able to see how the numerous amenity areas including a private theatre, fitness center, and yoga studio are taking shape.
Perhaps most exciting of all however is the progress made in the Restaurant building this month. A close observer of the aerial photo will note the massive roof trusses being installed. Intended to be a community gathering place for our residents, the dining room venue has an enormous three-story vaulted ceiling with custom made arched windows that flood the space with natural, soothing light.
Finally, the Memory Care building at the far end of the site is now fully roofed and drywall work has begun on the first and second floors. Resident rooms, particularly facing the north, offer a serene view of the lovely pine grove and gorgeous landscape.
We remain on track for construction to be completed towards the end of the year. After obtaining our license from the state of California, we plan to open our doors in early 2020. Given the limited homes still available, now is the best time to join the growing list of new residents. All homes are filled based on a first-come, first-serve basis, so give Pam a call today at (858) 683-9938 to be one of the lucky ones among our first residents in our new premier retirement community!
