Family members travel from out of state to enjoy time together
FALLBROOK – Members of the Bunn family traveled in from a variety of states and cities to have a reunion in Fallbrook last week. Winfrey’s mother, who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease, lives at Silvergate Suites in Fallbrook.
“I am the youngest of four children and we are spread all over the United States,” said Karen Bunn Winfrey, who lives in Oklahoma. Her brother, James Bunn, resides in Falls Church, Va., sister Vicki Bunn Cohen in Bandon, Ore., and sister Barbara Bunn McCullough in Martinez, Calif.
While in Fallbrook, the siblings also
spent time with an aunt and two cousins and their spouses and enjoyed lunch at the Garden Center Café.
“It was the first time all four of us were together at the same time with our aunt and cousins since March of 2000,” said Winfrey. “We were celebrating family, memories, connections, and honoring our mother and our aunt.”
In addition, Winfrey said, “Our family cannot speak highly enough of Silvergate, their caregivers, staff, and administration. They have exceeded our highest expectations with the compassionate care they have given our Mom.”
