A memory care community is a secure, specialized residence for people living with Alzheimer's disease, dementia or other memory loss. At Silvergate, the Memory Care Suites are in a separate, dedicated building on the senior living campus, with a small 'Neighborhood Design' that avoids long hallways. Nurses and caregivers trained in dementia care follow the 'A Positive Approach to Care' model and provide round-the-clock support, meals and daily activities.
Memory care costs at Silvergate depend on the community and the suite type, such as a private or shared suite. Silvergate uses All-Inclusive Care Pricing, with one monthly fee for the suite, meals, utilities, activities and care services. At Fallbrook, that pricing covers care labor but not supplies, and a one-time community fee applies. Prices are subject to change, so contact the community for current rates.
Memory care is designed specifically for people living with Alzheimer's disease, dementia or memory loss, while assisted living supports people who mainly need help with daily activities. At Silvergate, memory care is in a separate, secure building with a small Neighborhood Design, secure outdoor walking areas and a team trained in dementia care. Daily life includes memory-focused activities, music and art therapy and redirection support, along with personal care and medication management.
It is worth talking about memory care when memory loss starts to affect a loved one's safety or daily routine in ways a secure, specialized setting can support better. Your loved one's doctor and the Silvergate care team, which carries out regular care assessments, can help your family think through timing. At Silvergate, memory care is in a separate, dedicated building on the same campus, so the move is to that building.
Please ask the Silvergate community which payment sources it accepts for memory care, and check with Medicare or your insurance plan about what they may cover for your loved one. Silvergate's memory care uses All-Inclusive Care Pricing, with one monthly fee for the suite, meals, activities and care services, which can make costs easier to plan for. Prices are subject to change.
Memory care may be worth exploring when Alzheimer's disease, dementia or memory loss starts to make daily life harder to manage safely, whether at home or in assisted living. Your loved one's doctor can help assess their needs. Silvergate's team can explain how its secure Neighborhood Design, dementia-trained caregivers and daily memory activities could support your loved one, and a tour lets you see the Memory Care Suites in person.
