Silvergate invited residents and guests to an afternoon at the historic Del Mar Race Track on its opening week for its annual “Day at the Races” outing. Guests enjoyed a track-side lunch at the Stretch Run Grill and the first four races of the day. The event took place on a warm, sunny afternoon – perfect for a day at the races – and a number of lucky guests went home with winnings. The seats, located just several feet from the track, were ideal for catching a glimpse of the winning horses just before they crossed the finish line.
For lunch, guests enjoyed options from a prix fixe menu, which included waffle fries with mesquite ranch for the table to share, and their choice of a Brandt Beef “The True Natural” Hamburger, Del Mar Cobb Salad, California Coastal Chicken Sandwich, Beer-Battered Fish Tacos, or Brandt Hot Corned Beef on Rye.
This annual event is always among the most popular with residents and guests. It provides a unique opportunity for them to enjoy events like the races without the worry or hassle of making arrangements themselves. Many guests explained it had been a long time since they had last gone to the Del Mar Race Track, and they enjoyed the opportunity to go again so many years later.
“This is always a very popular event with our residents and guests,” explained Patricia Martinez from Silvergate Fallbrook. “They enjoy the exclusive seats and lunch, as well as the opportunity to get out and spend the afternoon with friends.”
