Silvergate celebrated the major milestone with an official Groundbreaking Ceremony on Wednesday May 10th.
We were honored to have local dignitaries, community members, and more than 200 future Silvergate residents and guests join us in celebrating this grand occasion. The ceremony took place on the site and included special recognitions and congratulations by the following community leaders:
- County Supervisor Kristin Gaspar
- Jason Bercovich of Congressman Scott Peters’s Office
- Robert Knudsen of Assemblymember Brian Maienschein
- Debbie Kurth, President of the RBBA and RB Community Foundation
- Robin Kaufman, Chair of RB Planning Board and RB Community Council
- Nick Anastasopoulos, President of CABH
We also had a very special Blessing of the Ground by Rev. Bill Zettinger of St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church and Rabbi Nadav Caine of Ner Tamid Synagogue.
Following the ceremony, all guests were invited to celebrate the milestone at a lively reception held at the adjacent Bernardo Heights Community Center.
This Groundbreaking Ceremony marks a very important milestone in the project’s progress as we enter into the exciting construction phase. Our current construction schedule is as follows:
2017 – Grading & Foundations
2018 – Framing & Finishes
2019 – Grand Opening
As always, thank you for your continued support and interest in Silvergate Rancho Bernardo. We know you are eager to see this project develop into the beautiful community we’ve all envisioned over the last 2 1/2 years, and we promise to keep you in the loop in the coming months.
Our ceremony was covered by the local RB News Journal – see their recap here.
