Cirque du Soleil enchanted future residents of Silvergate Rancho Bernardo on Saturday, March 7 with a two-hour, high-energy show filled with astonishing feats performed by their skilled troupe of acrobats, contortionists, jugglers and trapese artists.
The Silvergate seniors were shuttled by private busses to the Viejas Arena on the San Diego State campus, treated to dinner-on-the go and then escorted into the darkened arena as the house lights dimmed and the music started for the matinee performance. Attendees were invited to let their imaginations run wild…let their senses be filled…and let their hearts skip a beat as they took in the sights, sounds and stunts of the circus entertainers.
“We had fantastic seats for the show! We got to meet lots of new friends, and we just had such a great evening!,” said Marcia Kaplan, who will be moving down from Escondido this year to join her incoming Silvergate neighbors. “It was also terrific to be dropped off right at the front door and not have to figure out the parking at the arena. We just walked right in.”
“What an outstanding event Silvergate orchestrated today,” said Shirley Billingsley, a 20-year resident of Carmel Valley who would like to move into the retirement community after it opens “They treat us like royalty at Silvergate…everything is so first class and they pay attention to the smallest of details. There were monogrammed blankets in case we got chilly in the arena, water bottles stocked in our cupholders and even the most beautiful ticket cards for entry into the show. They thought of everything. We came home after this event and were so excited to know that when we move to Silvergate, we have these types of event to look forward to.”
The trip to see Cirque du Soleil was another in a long line up of unique excursions and outings that future residents can expect at Silvergate Rancho Bernardo. The variety and quality of events to come will provide the active and engaging lifestyle seniors desire. These types of events are one of the many benefits that set Silvergate apart among retirement living communities in San Diego county.
