We are very pleased and excited to announce that the City of San Diego’s Development Services Department has completed its review of the Silvergate Rancho Bernardo project! For over two years now we have been working closely with both City Planning staff and the Rancho Bernardo community planning groups to arrive at this major development milestone. All project issues raised during this lengthy review period have now been successfully addressed.
We’re now eager to move on to the next step in the planning process which includes the completion of an environmental document, in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), and receiving a final vote from the Rancho Bernardo Planning Board. Our expectation is that these steps will take place within the next 60-90 days.
“We have worked extremely hard over the past two years to make it this far. The project team has done a tremendous job creating a beautiful and innovative design,” explains Matt Petree, Director of Property Development. “This is a major achievement for us and we’re thrilled to be able to move on to the next step. We know this project will be a fantastic addition to Rancho Bernardo, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the amount of interest and support it has already received from the community. This milestone allows us to stay on schedule and move forward toward breaking ground by the end of the year.”
